COVID-19 Special Safety Guidelines

During this unprecedented time, our Team at NEX is making great efforts to meet all of the recommended and enforced modifications to keep our employees, our families and our clients as safe and supported as possible.

Our services have been deemed as essential under the Ontario Government's guidelines and are therefore available to support the other essential businesses and services in their efforts.

Our Service Technicians and Account Managers are up to date and prepared to work with our clients and with the changes in site conditions to keep servicing their needs as much as possible.

We’re introducing an Extended Hours Program to help our clients, technicians and their employees with social distancing.

Regular hours are from 7:30am - 5pm and the extended hours are from 5pm - 12am Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm on Saturdays – for pre-scheduled service repairs, planned maintenance inspections and equipment installations.

Initial feedback from our clients has shown that this alleviates further need to make changes in operations and provides a great solution to getting our services done. Clients are simply opening facilities for us after their regular business hours so we can perform repairs while less occupied.

Employee Health Norms and Social Distancing

We are following all recommended and mandatory requirements per our Canadian & Provincial Governments as it pertains to the COVID-19 virus, with effort to protect the public and employees. 

- Employees are required to report any and all health symptoms or known exposure

- Those who have reported symptoms or possible exposure have been asked to self isolate for a minimum of 14 days and get medical advice and assistance as needed. 

- We have no cases of people that fall under the travel timeframe, nor isolation requirements, but will follow gov’t protocol should anyone have contact with someone who has. 

- No future trips outside of the province are acceptable at this time, until further notice. 

- All Technicians must clean all work trucks, tools and uniforms daily. 

- Use of proper PPE and additional gloves and clothing must be worn as required by client’s site conditions. 

- Our offices are not occupied by more than 3 people at 1 time (& are working separate spaces), all others are working from home or in work vehicles. 

- All nonessential meetings have been cancelled or converted into telephone or video conferences. 

- All employees are self-isolating at home before and after work, limiting any contact when servicing sites and staying outside when picking up materials from our facility or suppliers.
